One Day Trip From Fez To Cedar Forest

On this full-day excursion from Fez, which is situated at an elevation of 1350 meters in the Atlas Mountains, take in the splendor and pure air of the Middle Atlas region.

On this day excursion, you will also visit Azrou, a Berber village situated at an elevation of 1250 meters, which is home to the homes of Berber tribes, who were the first people to live in Morocco. Observe the Berber men tending to their livestock, mixing flour, and practicing their crafts, particularly woodworking and tapestry. If you’re interested, we can visit a cooperative where women wave Berber carpets to learn more about the mysteries behind these exquisite atlases carpets.

The best-preserved cedar forest in Morocco is a short distance away. Here, you may witness Barbary monkeys jumping and feed them peanuts while taking photos. You may even make out the gray swirls of the Atlas or wild boar along the cedar forest trail.

We will make a lunch stop at a nearby restaurant where you can have a typical Moroccan Tajjine. After that, we’ll travel on to see Ifran, often known as “Little Switzerland,” stroll down flower-filled avenues, and take in the charming tiny town’s French architecture.
